Repejo is a payment operator in Sweden that provides a streamlined donation checkout experience for non-profits and NGOs. Its core mission is to help charities increase their donations by providing a modern and user-friendly checkout that matches the standards of e-commerce. Repejo understands that a frictionless experience is crucial for converting visitors into donors and one-off donations into recurring donations. The company focuses on simplifying the donation checkout process and reducing administrative burdens for its customers.

Challenge

Repejo noted that the manual entry of account details was a significant hurdle in the donation process, especially for recurring donations via a Swedish direct debit service, Autogiro. Donors were often frustrated by this step, as they might not know their account number off the top of their head. This friction led to high drop-off rates and was particularly problematic for older donors. Additionally, manual entry often resulted in incorrect account numbers, creating a significant administrative burden for the non-profits, who would have to contact donors to correct the information manually. Repejo needed a way to automate and simplify this process to improve conversion rates at nonprofit checkouts and reduce administrative work for their clients.

Solution

Repejo integrated Brite’s Data Solutions into its checkout flow to solve the challenge of manual entry and finding account details quickly and easily. Brite provided an automated account lookup service that uses open banking APIs. Instead of manually typing their account details, donors can now securely and instantly provide their information through their bank’s trusted authentication method (such as BankID). Brite’s solution removes the “massive hurdle” of manual entry, making the process faster, more secure, and less prone to errors. The partnership also allows Repejo to offer all its customers a first-class, seamless donation checkout experience, regardless of size.
