Stockholm – 27 October 2026 – Brite Payments, a leading European provider of instant bank payments, has announced the launch of Brite Pass, a returning user solution engineered to streamline repeat account-to-account (A2A) checkout for European merchants.
Brite Pass enables online businesses to turn first-time buyers into repeat customers by reducing checkout completion time by 50 per cent. The solution eliminates manual IBAN entry, bank selection, and account eligibility checks, achieving a recognition rate above 90 per cent for returning user sessions through API and device matching.
The Brite Pass journey follows a quick and secure process:
- Simple opt-in: The consumer completes a Pay by Bank transaction and selects to be remembered.
- Smart recognition: Brite Pass securely maps the consumer’s identity using API data, such as customer ID and email, along with tamper-proof device identifiers.
- Instant return: On subsequent purchases, a consumer’s preferred bank account is pre-selected automatically on the same merchant checkout, or any other Brite-enabled merchant.
By leveraging network-wide recognition, Brite Pass identifies returning buyers immediately across participating merchants without storing sensitive data, adhering to bank-grade security standards without password or login caching.
“By replacing multi-step bank redirections with pre-selected account recognition, Brite Pass removes the primary drivers of cart abandonment in Pay by Bank flows,” said George Parks Davie, VP of Product at Brite Payments.
Brite Payments also confirmed that one-touch payments will be added to Brite Pass in an upcoming release. The feature will enable consumers to initiate payments in a single step using Face ID, fingerprint biometrics, or secure passkeys.
